My blog page has gone thru so many different “identities” since 2011 when I first started it to provide skin care tips to my patients. Over a decade has passed, and life certainly has changed. Ten years is a long time for sure, but nobody could have predicted how much 2020 would change all of our lives forever. Like many of you, I took a step back, re-evaluated my life, and as difficult as it was, I took massive action and made major changes in my life. I know many of my friends, family, and colleagues who have done the same. Now that the dust has settled I, for one, am so excited for the future! If you are curious to read in more detail how I navigated life over the past 2 years, definitely check out the updated “About Kasey” page!
For those who want the cliff note version, I have taken a step back from my clinical Dermatology career, I have gotten certified as a life coach, and I have been enjoying focusing my energy on serving other CEOs, Executives, Leaders, Medical Providers, and other High-level Achievers. I help people who thrive on progress. I help people navigate the pressures of business, finance, relationships, mind-body health, career, and I help people get clarity on where to spend their time and energy to accelerate the areas of life that are stuck. It is my mission to help others gain the clarity (like I did in 2020) to get more control of their life. Over the past 1.5 years, I have had the honor to work with amazing start up entrepreneurs, sales teams, medical professionals, 7 figure CEOs, and other leaders. I have celebrated with my clients as they scaled from 6 to 7 figure business, I have brainstormed with them when they hit unforeseen obstacles in their business or personal life, and I have guided them thru difficult business and personal decisions. It has been some of the most rewarding times of my professional life. It’s funny how you can hit a giant obstacle like COVID in midlife and with the right mindset and tools you can uncover a whole new passion! Executive life and business coaching utilizes my prior skills as a clinician and business owner integrated with new tools I have learned as a professional life coach. The result is the ability to help other people gain clarity, and confidence, which no matter what am doing has always been one of my core missions in life!
So, what does this all have to do with Europe you might be wondering? One of the most powerful mindset tools that has shifted my mindset, my husband’s mindset, and my client’s mindset, is thinking about the end first. Essentially what will your regrets be in life if you choose path A vs path B or vice versa? Well, an opportunity presented itself for my husband and I to be based in Europe (and Northern Africa) for 6 months. Our first instinct was heck no! There is a global pandemic right now and we would be crazy to be traveling around the globe right now. But then we used some of the new processes that I have developed over the past 2 years and instead of reacting, we re-evaluated this decision with more clarity and intention. We quickly reconsidered. How could we pass up an opportunity to be submersed in other cultures all over the world? Some of our personal long-term goals have been to live overseas for prolonged periods of time. (We have even been talking about traveling the world to seek out charity organizations that are making a global impact that we could support). My new career as an executive life and business coach allows me to work from anywhere in the world-I just need good WIFI! So, my hubby and I started packing our bags! We committed that if anything makes either of us too uncomfortable at any point during the journey, we will just hop on a plane and head back “home” (Maine or FL). And in the worst case scenario, we would head to Steve’s Italian cousins house which is only an 8-hour drive away. (Is it wrong that I kinda wish we have an excuse to “crash” at the Italian cousins and hang out in Italy for a while (LOL!). Now that we had a “mitigated risk plan” off we went! (more details on “the risk plan” in my next blog post coming next week)
Fast forward 3 months and we are now halfway through our 6-month commitment. In the past 3 months. while we were both working full time, we have managed to travel to Venice Italy for a long weekend, Morocco Atlas Mountains and Moroccan Coastline, Austrian Alps (twice), with a pit stop in Germany for an afternoon stroll, lots of shopping in the Paris airport on multiple layovers, of course we have traveled all around Czech Republic!
When I started this blog page over a decade ago, I did it because it was fun. I enjoy writing and it was a fun creative outlet for me. But my “electric numbness” made it very difficult for me to blog for a few years (you will understand the definition of “electric numbness” if you read the updated About Kasey Page). My “creative” energy was stifled for more time than I like to admit. But I am excited that I am no longer feeling electrically numb, I now feel bright and invigorated! And I am excited to announce that you will be seeing a lot more of me, and my blog, in 2022 and beyond. The past decade and past 2 years have been transformative for me (in a good way), and I feel that it is my mission to pay it forward not only with my executive coaching clients but also with all of you! Stay tuned for uncensored personal stories from my life; what has worked for me and what hasn’t in areas of: business, finance, relationships, marriage, travel, and health. I am no Carrie Bradshaw, but if you are looking for some lighthearted stories from life on the other side, I will see you soon! (follow me on Facebook or Instagram to follow along with my adventures!)
